Bulk updating external links in hundreds of xls files

Good morning,

 

I have hundreds of Xls files in a folder structure....they all have external links to a master data excel file.

 

I am moving that master data file to SharePoint from our local file store...and as such, i need a way to bulk update thousands of cells within hundreds of xls files to re point to the new master data file.

 

The old link was:  G:\Vince Moss\[Laminates Current New.xlsx]Laminates

 

The new link witll look like:  https://company.sharepoint.com/Shared%20Documents/[Laminates Current New.xlsx]Laminates 

 

Is there a tool or process that could be used to make this change in bulk...doing it file by file will take months!
