AutoSum stopped working on Ipad
Hey y’all,
I keep a tip log for work, and up until a couple weeks ago everything had been working great. Not sure what changed, but now when I try to auto sum it says something like “=SUM x111”
the numbers are on the left hand, so it might be in text format? But still, I’ve been able to use autosum up until now. Not even sure how to switch it. I’m using a 5th generation iPad. In the attached picture I tried to add 50+50
AutoSum
I don’t seem to be very technologically savvy, so please be nice 👍

It shall be an option somewhere (in settings and/or on ribbon) to show the formulas instead of calculated by them results, please check if it is not activated. That could be an icon which toggles formula<->result, not familiar with Excel on iPad.

I am certainly not the most suitable person to help with the ipad.
But, since I spend some time here, I am also learning something :)).
The problem is probably in the TEXT format, then many arithmetic operations no longer work! Formatting after "number" must be done before the entry.
Mark the relevant area and choose "Text in columns" via "Data".
Then click on and finish several times without changing.
After that, it should be recognized as a real number.
Thanks for your time and patience
