You can enter a new date in a cell in range E2:E20 in the attached file. This might be what you want to do.

Thank you for your reply. The rows are fixed. Let's say next time they see symptom A for unit 12, They will change the previous date to the new date without adding a new row. if they don't see symptom B for unit 45 on that date, column F should remain unchanged for that symptom.
Column B Column D Column E Column F (oos)
Unit 12 Symptom A 5/21/2023 6
unit 45 Symptom B 3/21/2022 3
