Automatically Block Row after selecting a value in a dropdown menu
Hello Dear Community,
I have stumbled across a situation which I cannot find a solution for.
Please see table below. Right now, I have to create a separate row for each time when I get into a different Project Stage by selecting the stage from the dropdown menu and then select the Status I am in that respective stage.
What I would want to achieve, is:
1. When inserting a CRM number, to be automatically created 4 additional rows -> Column F is to show, automatically, for each inserted CRM, Stage 1, Stage 2, Stage 3, Stage 4, Stage 5. The Project Stages are to be blocked. I should not be able to modify the Project Stage.
2. To have the option to Expand / Collapse the created 4 rows. Like, when we use the Grouping function and we get the + / - signs, which, when we click on, expands / collapses the rows.
If the above is not possible, is there a possibility to block the selected Project Stage once selected from the dropdown list?
For example, If I select Stage 1 (from the dropdown menu) and select Project Status "In progress", I should not be able to modify the Project Stage anymore.
The reason for this desired functionality is that we are trying to capture historical data and report how much hours are spent on a project, based on Project Stages. Right now, many individuals, including myself, are just changing the stage of a project on the same row we initially put the CRM - many of us just fail to remember we have to create another row for this and we obviously lose track on how many hours were spent on a certain stage, because we just overwrite the Stage on column F..
Appreciate any ideas on to how this can be made possible...We were told we won't be getting a web-based time sheet application anytime soon....
Sincerely thank you,
Ollie
