Autofill formula in excel, how do you get it back?
Hi, the autofill formula in my table was working but then I had to make a change so I copied all the cells in the column, pasted them in as values and now I need to re-start the autofill formula for the new cells without changing the cells above them.
Thanks for any help.
- By pasting the entire column as values you have removed the formula that used to be in the column I'm afraid. You'll have to redo the formula or get it back from a backup copy. Next time, make sure you paste as values in two steps: First do all rows but one. Then when that's been done, do the one you skipped in the first step.
