Auto refresh of Quereies by power quereis - no refresh
im trying to set autorefresh of query in interval of 10 minutes (by using the Data tab->queries and connection->right click on the specific quire->properties).
after setting it to my desire interval (inculuds choosing enable background refresh), im closing the xlsx file and waiting. after passing 10 minutes im opning the xlsx again to see if it worked, but no auto-refersh of my data. when im trying manually to refereh it works.
any idea of whats the problem?

Eynat102 The auto refresh works only if you keep the file open.
Riny_van_Eekelen and if i dont want to keep it open? is there any way to refresh it automatically? without using Macro

Eynat102 All I'm aware of is that in Power BI (which also incorporates PQ), you can publish to OneDrive and set up a scheduled refresh in the PBI Service. This will happen without opening the file. Though, I've never had the need to do this and thus have not tried it.
