asking for help to solve my problem with optimization

At first, an optimization option appeared in "Review -> Workbook Performance". After optimizing, it removed all the empty rows below. I also can't insert rows using "Home -> Insert Sheet Rows".

Fingers crossed that you can lend me a hand. Thank you beforehand !

It sounds like the optimization process in Excel removed the empty rows but left behind cells with blank values, formatting, or formulas, preventing you from inserting new rows.

To resolve this issue, you'll need to manually delete these non-empty cells or rows that are preventing you from inserting new rows. Here's a step-by-step guide:

    1. Identify the problematic areas: Scroll through your worksheet and look for cells that appear to be empty but may contain hidden data, formatting, or formulas. These could be cells with white text on a white background, cells with formatting applied but no visible content, or cells that are part of a formula range but have no visible data.
    2. Clear the contents of suspicious cells: Select the suspicious cells one by one and clear their contents by pressing the Delete key or right-clicking and choosing "Clear Contents." This action removes any hidden data, formatting, or formulas from these cells.
    3. Check for hidden rows or columns: Sometimes, rows or columns are hidden, containing data that may be causing the issue. Unhide any hidden rows or columns by selecting the adjacent rows or columns, right-clicking, and choosing "Unhide" from the context menu.
    4. Delete unnecessary rows or columns: If there are entire rows or columns that are no longer needed, you can delete them to free up space. Select the row or column headers of the unnecessary rows or columns, right-click, and choose "Delete" from the context menu.
    5. Attempt to insert rows again: After clearing any problematic cells or deleting unnecessary rows or columns, try inserting new rows again using the "Home -> Insert Sheet Rows" option. If the issue persists, repeat steps 1-4 until you've cleared enough space to insert new rows.

By manually identifying and clearing any hidden data, formatting, or formulas, you should be able to resolve the issue and regain the ability to insert new rows in your Excel worksheet. The text was created with the help of AI.
