Arrows cannot erase in adjacent columns I did place them there

I personally appreciate your frustration and eloquence. I do not know how I ended up on this website but I was looking for a less-advanced training site to play catch up. You look advanced in that category. I also do not work for Microsoft. So where do Beginners start "refreshing"?
