applying a formula to a column of cells

I want to multiply the content of 2 cells and display it in a third cell, and to do this repeatedly for each of 2 cells in every row, without having to enter the formula in each row every time

Let's say the cells you want to multiply in columns A and B.

Select the cells to the right, in column C.

Enter the formula =A:A*B:B and confirm it with Ctrl+Enter.
