Is there a way to alphabetize column A and have the corresponding numbers in column B follow the associated name in column A when its alphabetized?

It's not altogether clear what you mean with your use of "alphabetize" -- do you mean "Is there a way to sort the entries in column A in alphabetical order, and have the numbers in column B that correspond to entries in A get sorted in the same order"?
If so, the answer is "Yes." Just highlight (select) all of the rows that have entries in them and then, in the "Data" tool bar, use the "Sort" icon to select column A as the basis for the sort.
If that's not what you meant, please come back and clarify.
If you select a single cell in column A, then sort, Excel will keep the rows in the entire 'current range' of column A together.
