adding large numbers of hours in escel
hi, i am trying to add a large amount of hours (19:245:40) in an excel file to get the total flight time of a pilot in his lifetime. The problem is the function SUM does not include the big number of the previous total (19245:40) even if the format of all the cells is [h]:mm.
Any idea about how I can fix the problem? Tks

In addition, since formulae work with such time, you may enter
=19245/24+40/24/60instead of 19245:40. Above formula will return correct time instead of text value.

We may enter in the cell the maximum time not more than 10000 hours. If try to enter bigger time it appears as text. SUM ignores texts.

However, we may calculate time more than 10000 hours. If enter 9999:00 and 9999:00 and sum, it gives correct result.
