Addin compatibility on MacOS

Hi there, I am using Excel on my Windows machine. I have a couple of addins developed which insert and retrieve data from MySQL based on user inputs. I am planning to shift to MacOS and was wondering if these addins will work on the Mac version of Excel? I am using Office 365. Thanks!
