ActveX controls missing

Question

I cannot see any ActiveX controls in Excel.

I have the Developer tab enabled.

When I hit the Insert drop down I see "Form Controls", but I do not see ActiveX Controls, with or without the sheet in Design Mode.

This is a personal PC, not one monitored by an Admin.

It appears you're running a version of Excel affected by the recent change in default security settings:

You'd have to adjust the trust center active x settings mentioned in this article and then close/re-open Excel before testing it:
