2D chart plot problem in Excel

I am trying to plot 2D chart in excell. The  data is, voltage in milli volts v/s time in micro second range. and approx. 1000 data points. When I plot voltage on vertical axis and time on horizontal axis, the time axis shows only real number 1 to 1000 instead of actual time.
