i removed '''~/.cache/Microsoft''' folder and it started working normallyi have archlinux installed and this problem might be linked to profile-sync-daemon-edge package.

Shuo_Zhan I met the same issue just now on Ubuntu 20.04. To solve this I installed the beta version and reinstalled the stable version, but that didn't work. Later I tried another way : when seeing this window after clicking the sign in button, I chose "Add Account" instead of the existing account, but added the same account as showed in the picture later and succeeded.I'm not sure what's the solution to this issue -- reinstall or add the shown account again, but finally it works. Hope this can help you.

amore04 solution will probably solve it. I had the same issue about 2 weeks ago, clicking on links from TEAMS core dumped edge, and login to profile core dumped as well. Deleted the ~/.cache/Microsoft and could login again.

it turns out, that it was not the url, it just takes some time to start the sync. After reinstalling Fedora 36, it works, if i do not install any updates. After installing the updates, Edge crash constantly, if sync is enabled. The same on Fedora 37 (beta) on Both Display Servers (X11/Wayland)

  I removed the synchronicity feature from all of my windows logins , delete my profile data , and used the "reset sync" feature on them and removed Edge from my Fedora 36. Then after insuring (ttbomk) the removal of all sync data from ".config/*" reinstalled the latest. From what I can tell , there is communication error between Edge/Wayland and azure. For now, going back to Chrome.

    If I turn off sync I can be logged in with my 2FA enabled work/school account, but as soon as I turn on sync Edge crashes.

Looks like the crash might be a Wayland thing. On Ubuntu (with Nvidia), if I try syncing edge on Wayland it crashes, otherwise it works fine in X.

Shuo_Zhan did: sudo apt install microsoft-edge-dev --fix-missing and it worked on dev version... so, circled back to microsoft-edge-stable and it now works.... So.... removed dev - sudo apt remove microsoft-edge-dev because I don't need 2 versions of the browser. Am still on 21.10 kubuntu.

  Signed-in with an account configured for 2FA, browser would crash soon after opening.
  Deleted the ~/.cache/Microsoft folder and the browser is not crashing.
  At the moment, however, it's also not syncing so that may be related.

Can you download Edge Dev from www.microsoftedgeinsider.com and see if it works? We just made a fix this week for a crash when logging into the browser, and I'm curious if the issue you're running into is that one.

  Have a similar problem when trying to sign in with google. This time, I had to type in my email (it was preset before). I got as far as typing the @-sign. Then it locked up and a few seconds later, crashed.

  josh_bodner I'm having this same issue with stable; I just upgraded `dev` to `102.0.1220.1` on Ubuntu 21.04 and reauthed (it's been a while since I used it so it had logged me out). It followed the same auth process as a fresh sign in by the looks of things: no crash. So seems as though your fix has worked!
