microsoft edge crash when i login in my microsoft account (linux version)
i have archlinux installed and this problem might be linked to profile-sync-daemon-edge package.
Signed-in with an account configured for 2FA, browser would crash soon after opening.
Deleted the ~/.cache/Microsoft folder and the browser is not crashing.
At the moment, however, it's also not syncing so that may be related.

DirectorKRKthank you for your tip. This worked for me as well, I am running Fedora 37 (Gnome with Wayland)

I guess sync is now disabled.
For me, the only solution that works was to switch to flathub's distribution of Microsoft Edge.

For me nothing works.
If sync is enabled with my work account, it crashes seconds after starting. I've tried deleting the cache, config, I even installed a new VM and when I enable sync, it crashes again.
Is there a way to delete all the sync data from Microsoft servers? I think this is the only solution since Microsoft doesn't seems to care too much about this issue.
Thanks,

Same here.. as long as I don't sync, it's working fine. If I try to sync it crashes.
It doesn't matter what I try to do. I'm on Fedora 36.

DirectorKRK
i have a very similar Problem on Fedora 36 with Edge Stable (current: Microsoft Edge 105.0.1343.42)
i have already reinstalled the entire os and it worked again until i opend a specific url. Now it keeps crasing again as long as sync is enabled - so i disabled it for now.. I'll try to reset the cloud status of sync, so i can see, if it would help...i tried to start the debugger, it puts me right to libsecret-1.so.0 in the backtrace. tbh, i have no knowledge with coredumpctl nor with gdb to investiagate this issue in detail.
- David665Nov 08, 2022Brass Contributorit turns out, that it was not the url, it just takes some time to start the sync. After reinstalling Fedora 36, it works, if i do not install any updates. After installing the updates, Edge crash constantly, if sync is enabled. The same on Fedora 37 (beta) on Both Display Servers (X11/Wayland)
