Dev build unable to sign into HBO GO (Chrome, Firefox, and classic Edge all work perfectly)

HBOGO.com uses URL re-directs for customer logins (to a site called evergent.com) . These redirects work on Chrome, Firefox, and classic Edge perfectly.

On Chromium Edge (Version 76.0.176.1, dev, 64-bit), these URL re-directs fail: customers instead receive this erroneous error.

Is this happening to anyone else?

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Go to https://play.hbogo.com/ on Chromium Edge.
  2. Click "Sign In".
  3. Select your streaming/cable subscription.
  4. Error message appears.

Other browsers work as intended:

  1. Go to https://play.hbogo.com/ on Chrome/Firefox/classic Edge.
  2. Click "Sign In".
  3. Select your streaming/cable subscription.
  4. HBO GO URL redirects to evergent.com
  5. Enter your streaming/cable login information.
  6. Evergent URL redirects back to play.hbogo.com and the user is signed in.

I've figured it out! I'd cleared cookies on hbogo.com, but those are not the only cookies HBO stores!

To fix this issue (if you get it):

    1. Go to Edge's Settings
    2. Go to Site Permissions on the left menu
    3. Open the Cookies subpage
    4. Click "See all cookies and site data"
    5. Type in "hbo" and remove anything HBO related: auth.hbo, hbogo, hbo.com, hbola, etc.

Refresh the HBO GO home page and voila, it will properly redirect this time!

Sorry if this is stating the obvious, but have you allowed pop-ups and redirects for this site?

Allowing redirects does not fix this issue, unfortunately.

Did enabling redirects fix this bug for you? Or was that a general suggestion?

        (1) No, because I don't have the problem*; (2) Yes - it just seemed so obvious that if redirects were disabled, your redirect would most probably fail. Not everyone finds all these esoteric settings, so I was just trying to be helpful.

        * I had to google HBO to find out what you were talking about. I've never lived within miles of a cable network!
