Reselling microsoft licenses
Hello
My company would like to resell Microsoft 365 and other licenses, I understand we need to have a CSP license. The portal is very confusing given there are many types of partnership opportunities. What is the exact type of partnership we need to select to be resell M365 licenses? Do we need any special licenses to sell to non-profits? Lastly, how long does it take for a partnership account to be approved? We are based in the US.
As a reseller, do we get any NFR(Not for resale licenses ) that we can buy at a discount to demonstrate Microsoft solutions to our prospect customers? For example, if i want to demonstrate Intune as MDM we would love to have permanent NFR licenses that we use within our organization to setup customer demo's , find bugs, setup customer use cases etc.

- MartijnElfersBronze ContributorWhile achieving a Solution Partner Designation might be difficult to achieve when just starting to resell CSP licenses, you could also buy a Microsoft Action Pack Subscription (MAPS). Small bundle package with a few licenses for IUR: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/partner-center/mpn-get-action-pack
MartijnElfers Action Pack licenses are meant for internal use only to Microsoft Partners that are in certain types of businesses. That said, they seem to sell it to anyone but it's technically against the rules.

MartijnElfers Per the Microsoft AI Cloud Partner Program benefits guide, some programs and offers in the Partner Program include product licenses or keys for software and cloud services that are intended to help partners build innovative Microsoft-based apps and services. Partners participating in the Partner Program are responsible for tracking use and consumption of licenses and services provided or purchased through the Partner Program. Partners are also accountable for developing their own method of tracking license/benefit usage.

- Nick_BeacroftIron ContributorHi, this would be the best starting point as it explains the process for enrolling as a CSP partner.
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/partner-center/enrolling-in-the-csp-program
Initially you would need to enrol as an Indirect CSP partner and this means you must also link up with an Indirect Reseller, think distributor, to begin with.
Once you meet the requirements to become a Direct CSP, you may transition to this partnership which removes the need to you to buy through the Reseller.
You, as a CSP, do need to be approved to sell to non-profit eligible customers. Although it's been a long time since we became a CSP and this may have changed. I would suggest you query this as part of enrolling.
NFR licenses are not really given away by Microsoft, although you may still get some through purchasing an action pack. NFR or IUR (Internal User Rights) licenses are provided to partners based on accomplishing new Solution Partner designations. These are six different categories where you demonstrate through skills, and growth (selling solutions and licenses) to customers.
Each qualifies you for a set on IUR licenses.
