you "should" be able to open a ticket with MSFT to regain your admin credentials to your tenant.
But saying that I have seen situations where customers have had to go legal action to get an MSP to release the admin rights to their tenant, I believe the language used was RANSOMING the functionality of the business. My guess is the current MSP wants paid for something, maybe the contract is not expired, and you are trying to break it mid term, in that case the language of said contract needs to be reviewed by legal counsel to properly determine your rights and course of action.
