NCE enforcement - FROM SA promotion still renew in legacy CSP

How would this actually work? 

• Does this mean these subscriptions will auto migrate towards NCE?   Correct. Since managing customers' business on two platforms (legacy & NCE) is burdensome & in response to partner requests for help, Microsoft will begin migrating commercial legacy seat-based subscriptions to new commerce starting on the date of subscription renewal. For more details, please revisit the July announcement -  July 2023 announcements - Partner Center announcements | Microsoft Learn 
• If the subscriptions are migrated towards NCE, how is this handled by Microsoft? (see response above as well as Migrate subscriptions to new commerce - Partner Center | Microsoft Learn)
• Will they auto migrate towards regular priced SKUs in NCE, or do they keep their promotion? I really doubt this.  Migration does not affect an offer's eligibility to qualify for an available new commerce promotion. A new commerce promotion is applied to the created new commerce subscription after migration as long as the promotion eligibility requirements are met.  For more information on promotions and identifying promotional eligibility, see new commerce experience promotions.  In short, Partners can get details about which legacy offers map to the new commerce product SKUs by reviewing the NCE Mapping tab in the new commerce offer matrix. 

• Or will these subscriptions still renew in Legacy CSP?  That depends. Base subscriptions not eligible for migration & not in the CSP offer retirement guide renew to new legacy terms. Otherwise, the subscription will migrate to NCE & subsequently renew in NCE. Overall, Microsoft-led migration is no different than a partner-led migration, so please review the existing migration docs - Migrate subscriptions to new commerce - Partner Center | Microsoft Learn

• This sounds weird to me, as Microsoft is forcing everything towards NCE. Correct, migration is to NCE. As a friendly reminder, beginning FY24, Microsoft is will begin preparing for the retirement of the CSP legacy commerce platform. One of these two steps is CSP commercial legacy subscription migrations - July 2023 announcements - Partner Center announcements | Microsoft Learn
• This promo SKU is not addressed in the CSP Offer Retirement Guide, thus it's unclear what will actually happen with these subscriptions.  (see bullet point 3)

Note: While Microsoft will auto migrate, you are encouraged to proactively migrate your customers. Find resources to help manually migrate customers to new commerce on the Migrate subscriptions to new commerce page & by following the steps outlined in Partner Center.
