How to get a PDM assigned to our company?
As a former Microsoft Global PDM I will try adding some clarity here.
There is no mechanism to submit a request to ask for a PDM. Your own actions as a partner are what can influence getting a PDM assigned. By actions I mean ensuring you represent yourselves as a Partner to Microsoft in the best possible way which of course means your company is represented correctly in systems like Partner Center for example. How much revenue will you drive to Microsoft in areas such as Azure / Copilot / AI etc? It is important to be 100 percent certain that your own company house is in order as it relates to Microsoft. The short answer is when the time is right if Microsoft believes you need a PDM they will reach out. The action you can take is to be active in the Microsoft ecosystem and drive high numbers to get MS attention. Also consider that a partner can also help you achieve success on a path to PDM. Lastly, even if you are fortunate enough to get a PDM assigned at some point in the future you should think of it as a 12-month engagement and be very clear how that PDM can help accelerate you in your Microsoft journey.
