Billing issue with Indirect Provider
Does anyone know if Microsoft will help with a license/billing issue with a CSP Indirect Provider? I cannot seem find the correct support for this type issue.

"We encourage you to request assistance from your indirect provider with licensing questions, and if the indirect provider cannot address the questions, you may want to submit a partner support request. Microsoft is unable to assist with billing issues associated with the indirect provider's monthly invoicing to the reseller."
- JRNAdminJul 30, 2024Copper ContributorI completely understand, however usually with other software or hardware vendors there is someone that is working with the Distributors on the partner behalf and/or CSP indirect provider to help when the Distro/CSP indirect provider is not providing the product or there is an issue. I have gone through the CSP providers helpdesk/ticketing and not getting any satisfactory help. Just in summary - ordered 3 Annual pre-paid licenses in March for a tenant and applied correctly to the tenant. July 5th the licenses disappeared from tenant. Open ticket with CSP with no response, Applied trial license so that tenant could use their MS365 in the meantime. CSP cancelled subscription saying it was a problem with Microsoft. No refund for the 8 months left on the 3 pre-paid annual licenses. 21 days later CSP support told me to purchase 3 new licenses as it was a Microsoft issue. So now my client had to purchase 3 new licenses. I know this cannot be correct and how can we as Microsoft partners for almost 25 years get help. The CSP is saying it is Microsoft fault and Microsoft is telling me to work with the CSP provider that is not providing the licenses that were paid for. We did buy the 3 new licenses on the tenants behalf just a few days ago so our tenant can continue to conduct business. Is there anyone that can assist in working with both the partner (us) and the Distro/CSP to get this resolved.

Even if it was a Microsoft issue/bug, there should always be a protated correct. Microsoft manages that billing process pretty well. So the Disti for has sure received this prorated credit.
Unfortunately I doubt you'll be able find someone in this community that can assist with the discussion between both you and your Disti.
If they really don't support you and don't even share the prorated credit, then I'd suggest to look for a different Disti in your region.
