Account Suspended Despite Compliance – Seeking Clarification and Reinstatement
Have you submitted a support ticket for this? Partner Center Support
After 15 increasingly frustrated tickets where the useless cut-and-paste responses were given without reading the ticket, we've given up. The tickets explained that we hadn't actually been given any notice, according to Microsoft's own terms, and were therefore expecting some assistance. We've decided it's easier to go through the Commercial Direct route because getting help from Microsoft Support is like trying to get blood from a stone. Never had such awful customer service, and because they're a huge company they're allowed to get away with it. Disgusting.

I can't believe this. The worst part for me is that I only became a partner because the customer changed from another MSP and Ingram wouldn't release their account to simply purchase direct. They told me it HAD to move to another partner, which seems backwards, since the customer is the one paying for the product.
What's happened now is somehow in Ingram, it's gone back to the prior provider as the partner since MS removed me. Why would it do that at all?
Inkfire_Cameron Does just starting to purchase direct cause any issues? In the customer's portal it tries to steer me to Ingram to purchase as the solution provider. If all their licenses get purchased direct, will that eventually go away?

I have no idea why it would revert to an old provider - unless the connection was never properly removed? Can you reach out to Ingram and get their input on that?
As for the direct purchase of licenses - no, it won't cause issues. It's a little more expensive than using a reseller (Ingram, Pax8, Westcoast etc.) but that's all. It won't stop you being directed to use Ingram though - they have to remove the partnership on their end for that to go away. It's a flaw I dislike as the customer can't remove a connection, but I understand it's for security in the event the client is breached so access can still be restored.

That's what Ingram told me is that the number in there was the prior provider. I could literally only see the number in the grayed out field.
It does beg the question if Ingram did just make it work somehow, why was I able to go in and purchase and resell to them for the last 5 or 6 years?
In the client's admin portal, it doesn't show a reseller other than Ingram as 'solution provider'. We have about a month until their current licenses expire, so at the beginning of August we'll set up their direct purchase and then call Ingram to tell them to remove the client.
Thanks for the response.
