Power Pages Licensing

Hi

With regards to the tiered licensing for authenticated users I am taking inference from this table that if I want 10k authenticated users to be able to access at least once during the month I should purchase 100 of the T2 packs (total $7500 per month).  If that is correct, it also calculates that if I am planning to purchase anything over 38 T1 packs (total $7600 per month) I might as well just take the step up to 100 T2 packs.

The licence guide also seems to state that 'Once the minimum purchase requirement is met, additional packs can be purchased in units of one" so as long as I purchase at least 100 T2 packs that is acceptable.

Have I got that right?

Thanks

Peter

  • Yes you have this correct.
There is a point in T1 and T2 where it is more cost effective to purchase the initial minimum of the higher tier. Once you do, you can purchase additional capacity in single units from that lower priced tier.

Thank you for posting to the community!

Partners may reply to give their input, however please CIL for my confirmation/clarification:

With regards to the tiered licensing for authenticated users I am taking inference from this table that if I want 10k authenticated users to be able to access at least once during the month I should purchase 100 of the T2 packs (total $7500 per month).  The D365 LG shows Tier 2 pack for Authenticated Users is $75 for 10k+ users. Therefore, $75 x 100 = $7,500.

The licence guide also seems to state that 'Once the minimum purchase requirement is met, additional packs can be purchased in units of one" so as long as I purchase at least 100 T2 packs that is acceptable.

These licenses are offered through capacity packs with 100 users per capacity pack. According to pg.21 of the October Power Platform Licensing Guide, see highlighted text in the snapshot below:

Not sure why you seem to be correcting my calculation of $7500 to $7,500 - it is the same value - just because there is a comma in yours does not make it any different 😉.  But thanks anyway.

Yes, $7500 is the same as $7,500.  My reply did not include any correction(s). I'm only providing documentation to confirm as you requested in your original post
