May 07, 2024Migrate from Nav to BC
Hi All,
Regarding a customer availing of Bridge to Cloud promo, the customer uses Navision currently. Does this require the customer to buy the cloud licences now and start the migration to cloud? Is their existing Nav cost credited against the BC license should they commit to migrating?
Thanks,
Rob

Hi rocunningham

- To be clear, the Bridge to Cloud promo has been expired for quite some time. The current promotion is the Bridge to Cloud Promo 2 (BTTC2 Promo).
- You should first review the Global Promo Readiness Guide, and BTTC2 Policy to find a list of eligible products that can be migrated using this promotion. Hint: D365 NAV is an eligible product.
- If you're asking if you're allowed to purchase the promo licenses now and migrate at a later date, as a friendly reminder, Microsoft is retiring the CSP legacy commerce platform as mentioned in the July announcements in Partner Center.
Partners can log into Partner Center to find the guides, policy's, announcements, and other resources.
Is their existing Nav cost credited against the BC license should they commit to migrating?
The CSP value and EP plan are explained in the BTTC2 Policy & FAQ.

"Microsoft is retiring the CSP legacy commerce platform as mentioned in the July announcements in Partner Center."
Per the BTTC2 documentation, it states the 3 year term starts from date of enrollment, does the above impact when the customer migrates within that 3 year period?

Hi Rob,
Customer can buy the licenses now, but has to migrate within the timeframe of the B2C promo to BC.The initial purchase is somehow credited with the discount of the upgrade. You of course get no credits on the initial BREP payments.
