Hi Roger,
I'm afraid I have to disagree with statement made by your CSP. According to the requirements for Modern work SMB as mentioned in Partnercenter to be eligible a customer tenant needs to have 11 users with relevant workloads. There is no mention of any revenue, its a usercount.
quote:
Each customer tenant having atleast 1 workload with paid seats between 11 to 300 is counted to be an eligible Tenant for SMB track.
This differs from the 'new customer' definition as found in the MCI incentives guide (page 70):
A customer tenant ID with no Modern Work billed revenue in legacy CSP or new commerce CSP, would be eligible for customer add accelerator consideration from tenant create date.
• Only Modern Work billed revenue is considered and will not be impacted by prior billed revenue on other product groups.
• Only CSP licenses are considered and will not be impacted by prior non-CSP licenses (i.e., EA or Open).
•No minimum threshold is applied to the CSP billed revenue to start earning the customer add.
so summarizing:
> to attain solution area you would need customers reach at least 11 seats in 12 months after tenant creation.
> to earn 'customer add' incentive in MCI there is no minimum.

Martijn
