D365 F&O Constraints between SKUs (1 yr and 3 yr)
- Aug 22, 2023Understand the first response but this is a massive move from previous and unclear. I do need to connect with someone directly to assist in amending the portal as the grace period is now expired. Who can I connect with.
On second issue - this needs to have and/or as this is not clear and MCE was brought into line with some of the EA rules when it came out. This 20 minimum across all products was one of the alignments? So the table reads incorrectly on your interpretation - whether you use english or Boolean interpretation - either way it is at odds. Given this mis-interpretation who can I escalate to?

The ability for EA customers to mix-n-match their D365 F&O licenses to meet the minimum purchase requirements was removed on 8/1/2023 (it was never an option for CSP). (Existing customers will not be required to meet the new min. purchase requirement until their agreement renewal).

LicensingConcierge1 that is interesting. On the current documentation it is misleading as it states ‘or’. Implying only one has to meet the condition. Older versions which you will have access to states ‘and/or’. So the official documentation is out of sync with the ordering system. Again how do I escalate so that my customer in not penalised?

Hi Markb61
I'm sorry that you're frustrated.
I want to make sure that I understand because you've listed two scenarios, but your question sounds like you have one scenario.
- You're asking if your customer purchases the minimum quantity of 20 Finance licenses under a 1-year contract, is this same customer able to purchase 10 SCM licenses under a 3-year contract, correct?
- Are you a Reseller, Indirect Provider, or direct Partner?
- May I have your company name?
Standing by.

cusotmer has NCE 1 year contract which satisfies the minimum on finance and scm. this ends in october. the 3 year contract is new and and needs to start after the end of the 1 yr term for finance, yet the SCM (operations) needs to start now.
SCM is ok. Finance will not let me order the amount needed as this is anew SKU. i now understand that 1 yr and 3 yr are different SKU with each needing to meet the minimum. the key point now is for the 3 year i am short on number of licences for the minimum for finance but would not have been if i had realised that the commercial website is incorrect and i could have reduced the number of SCM licences and swopped them to finance. this is what i need to correct
