What Happens with a Factory Reset on a Device

What happens when I use Office 365 Admin to initiate a Factory Reset on an iPad? One of my users had his iPad stolen. I initiated a Factory Reset on the device. (Never had to do this before.) The Adm...

When and if device gets online and contacts Exchange Online, it will trigger the reset.
