How quickly can first release be rolled back to standard release on a user basis

Hi there,

In preparation for upcoming releases in Office 365 as per Office 365 Roadmap we like to include some (SharePoint Developers/Architects) from our IT Department to mitigate any impact on business users/ day to day business.

As part of this process we like to know the below:-

How quickly can first release be rolled back to standard release on a user basis? 

As POC below is my approach:-

1. Add myself to "First Release Group"
2. Look at few recent releases in SharePoint Online or Office 365 in general
3. Rollback i.e., move myself back to "Standard Release Group"
4. Check how long it takes to get any features that are part of "First Release" restored back to "Standard Release" (if it is the case)

Any valuable suggestions/insight with references (MSDN or any KB articles/blogs) appreciated.
