Transfer contacts from Outlook 365 to Access
I want to transfer contacts from outlook 365 into Access. Then I want to transfer contacts from excell 365 into the same database. I have been using Microsoft Office for about 20 years but only started to try to use Access about 2 days ago without success. Can someone please help? (Note I was sent to this web page by a Microsoft Technician so I assume this is the right place to request help)?

Access can link to Outlook. That ability to connect to a huge variety of data sources is one of its strengths. One option is to import the records from that Contacts list, but perhaps a better alternative for your particular requirement is to link it.
However, you'll need to explore your Outlook Folders/Address Books to identify which one(s) you want:
- InvWS2021Copper ContributorThank you George for your reply it is greatly appreciated. Firstly I want to transfer the contacts from outlook & not link them at this stage.
I heave numerous times tried to import the contacts using the above method & I get the following message: An error occurred trying to import file "Contacts" (The file was not imported.
Note: I am starting with the "Contacts" template. Look forward to your reply.- George_HepworthSilver ContributorAt this point, I've only linked, not imported. It worked fine. I'll try again with an import.
Was there any more to the error message?
