"Could Not Lock File" - Mapped Drive Error potentially?

Hi everyone,

I am fairly new to access and have setup a database on a mapped network drive. I can open my DB from the drive but when someone else tries to open the DB it comes up with the error "Could Not Lock File".

I have read up extensively on this error that seems like it was introduced in December 2021 and was then resolved for the most part not long after that. My problem is we are on the newest versions of office for our business (MS 365 Standard) and I am seeing this error was fixed with updates to MS 365.

I also saw that those same updates maybe didn't fix these errors for everyone, specifically mapped drives. My question now is, how do I get my DB accessible to everyone on my network now? Any input would be helpful. I have been in an out of year old threads all morning and have found no solution to my issue.

Appreciate the help!

Split your db (Front End/Back End).
Make sure you use UNC path when Linking the back end db.
Put the back end db to Shared folder (give user Everyone to have all "Rights" to the folder).
Give each Users a Copy of the Front End db.
