Bing Insiders becoming Microsoft Bing
Hi Microsoft Bing Community, Thank you for all of the wonderful insight you've provided the Microsoft Bing team. I want to let you know that from now on this space will be known as Microsoft Bing. It will continue to be your go-to space for Microsoft Bing updates, but will no longer be moderated. As always you can submit feedback to Microsoft Bing by clicking on the "Feedback" button at the bottom of any Microsoft Bing page. If you have questions or feedback related to your Microsoft Account or Microsoft rewards you can reach out to our specialists here. We hope you will continue to engage with this community and help each other as you have been, and look forward to keeping you in the know about or favorite search engine. I have had the Bing Wallpaper app for a long time now - really love it. Windows 11 now allows wallpaper to be set for each virtual desktop, which is a great feature, but the wallpaper app only seems to update one of the desktops. Further, having different wallpapers really slows down the time required to switch between desktops, from < 300ms to several seconds. Because of this, and the fact that this app changes the wallpaper at least daily, I find myself constantly switching between desktops and manually "catching up" the desktop that the app has missed. An an "insider" I have been suffering with this for a while, and I thought it would be fixed soon after Win 11 was released, but it's been a few weeks now so I thought I'd raise it as an issue. I've had to turn off the daily refresh on the App - hopefully this will be addressed soon (or you could open source it and I'll raise a PR for you). EDIT: I have also noticed that switching between desktops that have different wallpaper is extremely laggy (>1s), but when the wallpaper is the same it's seamless. I have 3 QHD monitors but also an 11th gen Core i7, m2 class 40 storage and a GeForce RTX 3070 so I wouldn't have expected painting a new 500kb wallpaper to be a big issue.RichardHauerNov 16, 2021Brass Contributor15KViews13likes11CommentsMicrosoft Bing is Becoming More Visual!
Last week in our Microsoft Bing Blog we went over features that help save you time when searching. Among those were the Knowledge Cards that have made an appearance or two in this community before. In addition to Animals, we also have knowledge cards for Countries and Actors now too! Since they've been around for a little bit now, what do you think of them? Do you have a favorite one? We'd love to know! For now, Knowledge Cards are available in English-speaking markets. If you'd like to see knowledge cards in your area leave a emoji of your countries flag! I really need the dark mode on Bing, i'm sure a lot of people agree with me too. dark mode is very useful feature, lots of apps and websites have a dark mode by now. Bing for mobile has it, only the desktop version is missing it. is it on the roadmap? if not, why? and if it's coming, when can we expect that? thank youSolved7.7KViews12likes9CommentsMicrosoft Search in Bing

I've been mainly using Bing search engine in the last 3 months. this is my honest opinion. I enjoy Bing more than Google because Bing has a better layout, Bing has so much more features, like when I want to reverse image search, It shows me the name of the person in the picture or in cases where there is a text in the picture, it uses OCR (Optical Character Recognition) to let me copy the text from the pic and automatically search for it. Bing also gives me lots of categories in image searches. I did a side by side comparison of a subject just yesterday. in Google there was no categories to suggest but Bing suggested lots of categories at top, they were so specific that I was surprised how far it went. Bing has Microsoft Rewards and what it means is that you get points when you do normal searches, you don't need to go to Bing Rewards dashboard to do any additional tasks, but if you want you can and get even more points. These points accumulate and once they reach a certain amount, you can redeem them for a wide range of prizes. I usually redeem them monthly to get free Xbox game pass which I can use to play all news AAA games on PC and Xbox. so basically I always and forever have free game subscription. Bing is integrated into Cortana on Windows 10 which means I don't have to open a browser to type anything, I simply press Windows key and start typing and it shows me search results, when I click on a result, it opens it on the new Edge browser which is my default browser and it's also better than Google Chrome for a long list or reasons. (de-googled browser, Tracking Prevention, Collections, Reading view and all of its features, Read Aloud with custom natural voice etc etc..). Bing also gives me peace of mind knowing that my data and privacy is being handled by a company that revolves around providing services and not data mining. Bing search results, the default search, is also very relevant. at first I used to open a Google search and compared both results for a specific keyword because I was skeptical that I might be missing some results but nope, I was getting exactly the same relevant results. Bing also has rich snippets appearing in searches, like when I search for a specific subject, it tells me that hey you also searched about this related subject yesterday and many other little info. Bing's privacy dashboard is also very streamlined and easy to use. I like that it shows me all of the searched queries I've done from the beginning and allows me to delete them if I want to, but I personally like to keep them as a record. Bing Also has all of the features that Google offers, I know this because I've been using Google for a long time. Bing has really and i mean REALLY improved in the last few years and that's why I'm writing this because I'm simply impressed. this is my unbiased honest opinion about Bing. feel free to read or ignore it but if you read I hope you enjoy it. Have a nice day and stay safe! 😀- TheShaunSawJul 23, 2021Silver Contributor97KViews7likes39Comments
