Are Movie APK Apps Good or Risky?
Hi everyone, I wanted to start a discussion about Movie APK apps. I’ve been using one recently to watch movies for free, and it works fine, but I’ve heard mixed opinions from others. Some say these apps are great because they let you watch all kinds of movies without paying. But others warn that they might be risky for your phone or personal data. Hi everyone, this is my first time posting here. Please let me know if I messed up something in this post. I am optimizing a HoloLens 2 application developed with MRTK 3 in Unity, and I have been trying to improve the sensitivity of pinch recognition. In other words, what I wish to achieve is that the object manipulators in the application are only activated by pinching when the user’s thumb-forefinger distance becomes 0 (or at the least very close to 0). I set the pinch open threshold and the pinch closed threshold of the hands aggregator subsystem of MRTK 3 to 0.08 and 0.03, hoping that MRTK 3 will only recognize pinch in the more sensitive way mentioned above. However, the object manipulators are still activated by pinching even when the user’s thumb and forefinger are quite far away (about one half of the length of the user’s forefinger) from each other. Is this because of the hardware limitation of HoloLens 2? Is there any possibility that I can improve the pinch recognition on HoloLens 2? Big thanks in advance!
Object Manipulator breaks interaction...
Greetings, New to MRTK. I have been working on a project that includes a MRTK VR rig. When I play the project in Unity, a start UI pops up. I press the start button and then I am able to enter the next scene. This works if I do not add an object with a Object Manipulator component. Once I have one present, even if deactivated, I am not able to interact with the start button. Anyone ever experience this? What could be the cause. Thank you.

We've developed several features aimed at enriching the gaming experience for fans, including: Downloadable Game: A desktop version with endless customization. Mobile Gameplay Guide: Instructions for fans who want to play on their mobile devices. Fusion Pokédex: An index showcasing unique Pokémon fusions created by our community. Fusion Generator Tool: A real-time tool that lets users create their own Pokémon fusions. Stat Calculator: A tool for calculating stats of custom Pokémon fusions. These features, especially the interactive tools, engage users by allowing them to create and experiment with their own content, which I believe could benefit from some mixed-reality enhancements. I’m curious if anyone here has explored adding AR or MR elements to similar fan-driven websites? Any suggestions on implementing mixed reality to improve engagement would be greatly appreciated! Hololens 2 nightmare!
The device as far as I know is bricked due to a faulty update released by Microsoft. For some reason the device is not charging above 1 LED light (Even when charging it overnight). Microsoft customer care suggested to re flash the device which is a simple straight forward process but the device is nowhere the minimum 40% charge because of some restriction. Getting into EDL mode by pressing the Brightness UP + Brightness DOWN + Power button until the LED's disappear only enables me to update the driver using the device manager window. Thinking this as a bypass to the 40% charge requirement, tried connecting to the ARC software with the latest .ffu file and the recovery .ffu file (in case the process got stuck). ARC opens a page which says unable to connect to the server (which I understand) but will not let me choose the manual package file I have downloaded. The option is greyed out. Tried everything but no luck. Tried to solve this using the Windows Recovery tool which was used to recover LUMIA phones back in the day, the device does not want to connect to anything. If anyone has any ideas on solving this, I am all ears! P.S. All of this looks suspicious

Windows mixed reality controllers lag and disappear
Hi, I bought a hp reverb g2 headset and controllers about two years ago. They were working fine at that time. I tried them again recently and now the controllers lag and frequently disappear. I have tried buying a usb bluetooth adapter. I have removed and re-paired the controllers. I have reinstalled the mixed reality driver. I am following this document andthis tutorialto test AR on a HoloLens 2, and I go to the part where I have a Unity game with all the proper setup (ie. build settings are correct, I used Unity AR feature tool, etc.) and with 2 squares. I built the project and opened the solution, and then I set the configuration to "Release," platform to "ARM64," and set it to "Device" because I have the HoloLens directly connected to my laptop. I selected the Unity app solution and right-clicked it to "Set as Startup Project." Then, I pressed the green button next to "Device" to build and deploy it. The first time, I got prompted to enter a pin after a bit, which I did, and once the deployment was done, the app showed in the "All Apps" section, but once I clicked on it, I got a window that had a white background with a box with an X in the middle of the screen. On top, there is a blue circle with a white loading circle that was loading for forever. I tried rebuilding it multiple times, recreating the Unity project in a new project, and double-checking my Unity build settings, but those were correct. How can I fix this issue? I'm using Unity version 2022.3.20f1. Hi everyone, Recently, during the development process with the HoloLens 2, I encountered an issue where the device failed to boot properly. I attempted to restart the device several times, but the problem persisted. While charging, One light fading in and out as mentioning in(https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/hololens/hololens2-setup#lights-that-indicate-the-battery-level), followed by the startup sound playing repeatedly, and the device not functioning normally. According to the documents, light to indicate problem, I judge the device battery might be very low, but after trying to plug in, and to charge the device, it seems not working. Is there anything else I could try to get it working again? Thank you kindly in advance for any suggestions.
