For example, local file support will come at some point in the future. E1/Basic users could just have that feature turned off. For example, I don't use local PST files at all, but I use E3. If I didn't also use Excel, I would just downgrade and pay less once I was forced to use OWA-in-an-app. As for ads, that's a separate decision entirely. Make no mistake, this is not a new "app" this is just OWA, running locally, being fed to us as a replacement for a more powerful app. Since the more powerful app is going away, Microsoft no longer should gatekeep the app behind E3 and above. Consumers should be able to opt for E1 since Microsoft is removing one of the reasons to subscribe to E3. It's only fair.
