Editor's note 7/15/2024: this post has been updated twice since it was first published, as we continue to improve the new Outlook for Windows.
The new Outlook for Windows is bringing a wave of...
AllenFilush Did something change recently? I now seem able to add my Business Basic email address to New Outlook running in no-cost, ad-supported mode.
Here's what I did:
1. Create a new Windows user account on my laptop, one not associated with any Microsoft Account.
2. Open New Outlook, configure it to use my Gmail account. That succeeded and I can view my Gmail inbox
3. Add my Office 365 Business Basic email account (domain: mhseitz.org). When I logged into my Office 365 account, I selected "Authenticate for this App Only"
To my surprise, that worked this time! I now have my Gmail account as my primary account and my Office 365 Business Basic account as my secondary account. I believe I'm still in the no-cost, ad-supported mode, since I don't believe either my Gmail nor Business Basic account is associated with an Office 365 Outlook for Windows license.
About Outlook Version You have Microsoft Outlook Version 1.2024.501.300 (Production).
