New and improved search results experience on Microsoft Teams

This "new and improved" search appears to have broken the only known workaround to the already-broken functionality that prevents a user from seeing the context of a historical message.  Using Keyword Query Language, you used to be able to return all search results based on people and dates.  So after identifying the person and date of the conversation you want to review, you'd perform a search like this: (Sent:2019-11-13 From:Karen) OR From:Brian Sent:2019-11-13 

Using that entire string (both sides of the OR), the results returned would show all messages, both sides of the conversation, in order by time stamp.  VERY far from ideal, but at least it was a way to work around the lack of functionality that Microsoft built into this product.  Now it appears the new search limits the number of returned results altogether?
