UPDATE: Today when clicking on a message in Teams search results you can see only the single message vs. the full context of the conversation. We understand the inconvenience this is causing you, and...
Overall the new search function is useless and has crippled the product.
Previously I could search for "thing I am looking for", it would bring up all the conversations that contained "thing I am looking for", I could click it and it would take me to that conversation.
Now, I dont even know what it is trying to do? Now it brings up 3 x message results. Yep, 3 results.
And needs me to click "more messages" repeatedly and then "Next" to scroll through paginated results. NOT ONCE have I found what I am after with the new search feature.
Even if I pretend that I have found what I want, and click on a search result, and click "go to message" it literally opens that one single message with no context, or ability to go to the actual conversation (like below). This is the final search result after selecting "go to message".
I don't actually know how it is possible for Microsoft to make Teams any worse, but they have managed to, and now our search function is unusable and useless. This causes genuine issues and reduces productivity for our business.
How can we revert back to the old way of searching? Are you aware how bad this is? Are you looking to fix it? How does this even get past user testing? It would appear to me that you have crippled the product to fix some other internal issue you were having because there is no way that these changes could have been intentional.
