hongsod sorry I'm late to the party, but I'd like to also ask for (near) CD-quality speech audio on Teams, as well as the possibility to set it as the default. Per tenant ideally, but per client as a fall-back.
We (an MSP) have a lot of psycho- and hypno-therapist customers. Their sessions depend on patients feeling "present", with as much intimacy with their therapist as possible. Being able to convey a soothing and clear voice helps create the illusion of being "there" and "close".
This is key to establishing a good emotional rapport that greatly determines patient outcomes.
Even on HQ music mode, high frequency components such as "S", "F" and "T" sound decidedly muffled.
Perhaps you can drive the audio bitrate to 48kHz/16bit/256kbit/s, which is still very little compared to the 1-3Mbit/s consumed by video. Almost any A/V producer can tell you that poor audio quality is psychologically much more noticeable than slightly reduced video quality. I believe you can easily shave off 128Kbit from video in favor of audio, right? Or allow users to prioritize audio vs. video depending on the use case.
Our health and wellness provider clients will love you for it!
