To save costs and because the blob files are anyway locked for x days/months/years anyway, depending on the policy, I suggest writing the blob files to the "Cool", "Cold" (or maybe even "Archive") access tier as follows (in the following example I use the "Cold" access tier, which should be stored for at least 90 days - further information see: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/rest/api/storageservices/put-blob ) :
