Templates are time-savers. Instead of recreating the same document, spreadsheet, or presentation layout every time, you can design it once and reuse it whenever you need. Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint all support custom templates, helping you streamline your work and keep your materials consistent. In this post, we’ll walk through how to create and save reusable templates in each application. https://dellenny.com/how-to-create-reusable-templates-in-word-excel-and-powerpoint/13Views0likes0CommentsVisible Margins
As a heavy user of Publisher I am learning my way through Word in view of the upcoming cancelation of Publisher. One of the first things to strike me is the inability to make margins visible. Anyone found a way? I have tried text boundaries but it does not really help. I know Word is not a graphics package but I do not see much else within Office 365. A pity there is not another MS product to fill the gap! Or is there?31Views0likes1CommentAuto save is not enabled prompt every time.
In word when I open documents there is a yellow bar telling me autosave is not enabled. I know, I am a grown adult and chose not to have auto save. How can I stop this annoying yellow bar? Whilst we are at it, how can I stop excel from telling my my work book might be slow on every workbook I open? Who in the coding department thinks this is helpful?131Views0likes3CommentsWord random crash during Word mail merges after windows update
Hello, Since the Windows 24H2 BUILD 26100.4652 update, we've been observing a random crash during Word mail merges. These are lists of fields in tab-delimited txt format. These random crashes occur both during the generation of our VB code and during manual testing. The affected machines are those that have received the latest Windows updates, regardless of the version of Word installed (2016 and later). In addition, the crash can occur directly during the merge request, while scanning records, or during the final multi-page generation. Thank you for your help.278Views0likes7CommentsPDF figures inserted in Word exhibit black background
I am using Word for Mac to prepare a manuscript. I inserted a PDF figure with transparent background, which was created with Adobe Illustrator. It looks fine on my Mac. But when I transfer the document to a Windows computer, the transparent background of the figure becomes black. For other Office softwares, such as PowerPoint, similar issues also happen. I know if I convert the figure to png format would fix the issue. But I still want to stick on the PDF format since it's vector image and compatible with LaTeX. Can you figure out why is this happening and how to fix it? Thanks!!25Views0likes1Comment
