Cannot create separate storage pool on Windows 2019 Failover cluster.
Hello I am trying to get rid of S2D on our failover cluster and came across the inability to create separate storage pools (without using S2D) on Windows 2016/2019. Every time you set up a Failover Cluster, even without adding eligible disks to storage, it still sets up the Clustered Windows Storage subsystem and assigns all available disks to it. So, you have all the disks, but if you try to create a storage pool, it will fail. Tried to create all storage pools before forming the cluster - to no avail, the pools were created, but any attempt to create a virtual disk instantly fails. I tried to use Set-ClusterS2DDisk to stop the storage subsystem from using those disks - to no avail. Tried to unregister the Clustered Windows Storage subsystem - it's not possible. I have absolutely no idea what to do now. So, is there a way to set up a failover cluster without using S2D?Ie and edge SharePoint site access issue in windows server 2019
None of the sharepoint sites are working in ie and edge browser. We have sharepoint 2016 on windows server 2019. The site is accessible from chrome,but doesn't work in IE and edge. I have tried all basic things like security settings, trusted sited, TLS 1.2, nothing is working. Anyone is aware of this issue?Need help on SCOM 2019 migration process
Hi Folks, We have a test SCOM 2019 management server and a test DB server for the test SCOM 2019 environment in our organization. Recently, management has decided to migrate the workload from a private cloud service provider to GCP. Therefore, as a pilot project, both the test SCOM 2019 management server and the test DB SCOM server have been migrated to GCP. Now, my queries are: 1) What has to be done for the SCOM agent in order to understand the changed IP address? Yet to confirm if we are going to follow the existing naming convention. 2) There were many test servers added to the test SCOM hence do I need to reinstall the agent or Will the agent initiate automatic repair/reinstallation on the servers that are being monitored? 3) What precautions do I need to take when planning for SCOM 2019 production server migration? Hello everyone. I have a question about VM activation with Ws 2019 DC host. Can I activate Windows Server 2019 Standard Guest VM on Windows Server 2019 Datacenter host with Datacenter key? Or I need to convert VM OS from Standard edition to Datacenter?
