I'm experiencing significant performence issues with windows explorer when accessing folders that contain large files. The folder takes a long time to load details of files, and the "Calcul des filtres..." message appears for an extended period, making it difficult to manage my files efficiently. I've already tried several solutions, such as disabling thumbails, optimizing the folder for general items, and increasing virtual memory, but the problem persists. I'm attaching a screenshot that shows the issue in detail. I also tried some thrid-party file manager like total commander, directory opus and xyplorer; but apparently all of them did not even have the feature to disply the detail of files as the windows explorer do as shown in the screenshot attached. Does anyone have any suggestions or advanced troubleshooting steps that could help resolve this problem? your assistance would be greatly appreciate! Not sure if Microsoft has completly missed the fact that display screen resolutions are increasing globally, yet even the "View > Extra Large Icons" in Windows Explorer with a resolution of 256px is not adequate and more like standard 20 years ago. Microsoft always fames itself for catering to people with disabilities, but these minute thumbnails in Windows Explorer are a real killer for anyone's eyes, with or without disabilities. Please make this change ASAP.1.2KViews1like2Commentsexplorer.exe instability
So this is genuinely a question about the current release stability vs. my own setup. For context, I'm running build 22593. Every hour or so, explorer.exe just crashes. It takes down all the related UI including the taskbar, window management and file explorer. This crash is normally tied to some behavior with file explorer navigation or heavy memory usage (ex. Photoshop + Excel PowerQuery). It's gotten to the point where I have a macro to open a script and run "start explorer.exe", which seems to always work; restoring everything within a few seconds. I ask since I use a heavy amount of business required cloud syncs (OneDrive, Google Drive and Dropbox). I've spotted some earlier posts discussing context menu crashing, and while that used to be an issue it doesn't seem to be the cause of these latest problems. Is this a known build issue? Or known conflict with heavy file-management add-ons? Update: Seems to be related to file explorer actions (copying/cutting/deleting/renaming). Given that I often modify and rename from the Open/Save menu, I didn't clock it as Windows File Explorer related.957Views0likes0CommentsOne Drive - Shared files on windows explorer
Is there any way to add and open files shared with me onto my OneDrive windows explorer folder, under my local OneDrive folder? I add a shared folder to my Onedrive, but can´t find the way to do with the files. Is there any option? Thanks in advance2KViews1like2Comments
