Embedding Word/Excel files from OneDrive into a webpage via iframes stopped working
As of ~10/31/2026, the iframes display a blank window instead of the expected .DOC/.XLS content. Affects both brand new files AND old files that were previously embedded and working prior to 10/31/2026. To replicate, try to embed an Excel file into a webpage per these instructions: https://support.microsoft.com/en-US/Excel/share-it-embed-an-excel-workbook-on-your-web-page-or-blog-from-onedrive. Or Word via https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/onedrive/how-to-add-an-embedded-document-or-picture-into-a-webpage. Symptoms appear to be identical to an earlier instance that occurred from 8/21/2026 to 8/27/2026 (see support case #7107584914). Issue exhibits whether source .XLS files are created by Excel for Desktop vs. Excel for Web. Files open and share normally from onedrive.live.com, but will not embed. Browser-independent, occurs on Edge, Chrome, and Firefox). DevTools\Console reports “Uncaught Error: Script error for "odsp.react.lib".
Edge How to view PathName of Element(s) without parsing URL?
Image to demo what I need. My suggestion borrowed from Toggle View feature in Word 365 Shift+F9 - Toggle Element display - toggles Display for elements contained in the current selection. Alt+F9 - View Element PathName - toggles PathName display for all elements in the entire Page. Thanks Regards,Feature suggestion to Improve Eraser tool for PDF Inking/Web page inking and other inkings
The eraser tool in Microsoft Whiteboard is really brilliant, unique and very convenient to use. on the other hand, eraser tool in Edge is static and needs SO much improvements. on Edge when you draw a big shape or write a long sentence etc, you can't erase only part of it like a letter or single line, the whole thing/shape/writing gets deleted when you touch any edge of it. so my suggestion is to implement this eraser tool and replace it with eraser tool in Edge which is for PDF inking, future web page inking and any other kinds of inking that needs an eraser please watch the video to see what I mean: https://streamable.com/ohyn6h
