What’s New in Microsoft 365 Copilot - September 2024
We're excited to announce the latest updates to Microsoft 365 Copilot. This month brings new features and enhancements designed to boost productivity and collaboration for both admins and end-users. Highlights: Admin Tools: User Enablement Toolkit: Accelerate Copilot adoption with customizable communication templates and resources. Microsoft Copilot Academy Access: Now available to all Copilot-licensed users—no Viva license needed. Enhanced Teams Meeting Controls: Gain greater control over Copilot availability in Teams meetings with new settings. End-User Features: Image Generation in Business Chat: Create visuals directly within your workflow using natural language prompts. Expanded Business Chat in Outlook: Interact with Copilot directly in Outlook mobile and Outlook for Mac to summarize emails and prepare for meetings. Private Copilot Chats in Loop: Brainstorm and ask questions privately without disturbing your team. Enhanced Copilot in Word: Reference longer content blocks and jumpstart documents with one-click example prompts. Think with Ink in OneNote: Analyze both typed and handwritten notes simultaneously, and handwrite prompts in the Copilot chat pane. Copilot Retrieval of Emails
Has anyone tried to retrieve a list of emails over a one-year span based on a particular subject? I was asked to prepare a timeline for a contract. I asked Copilot to locate and list the emails in an excel spreadsheet with columns for date, from, to, subject, one line summary and name of attachments if any. Copilot acknowledged there were 525 emails and populated a "sample" of 5. when I asked for a complete dataset of all 525 emails Copilot only came back with another 5-10 listings. I tried asking in multiple different ways and that's all I would get - and they were sometimes the same emails, sometimes different. Is there any expectation that Copilot should be able to handle the complete task?
Use Copilot with Microsoft ToDo
It would be great if I could have Microsoft Copilot Pro talk to and be able to query these few responses. 1. What are my important task that I am missing? 2. What task do I need to focus on in the next few days? 3. Look at this project/doc/sharepoint file and add additional task to my ToDo that isn't currently on my list.
My copilot studio doesn't read data from database connector.
I have a azure database source connected successfully to my copilot studio though a connector. When i tested the knowledge in some topics, no matter what i texted (give me some examples, find me a random data), it always give me the same result 'No information was found that could help answer this.' I have tried to add synonyms and descriptions to the data source but none of them worked, can anyone help me? also the table have about 900k rowsHow to use Copilot Pages [Preview]

At my work, we mostly use the full Outlook desktop application, however, until recently outlook.office.com had better Copilot features so I ran both apps at the same time. In outlook.office.com, when you clicked the Copilot logo to open the panel on the right-hand side of the screen, you could get Copilot to quickly set your out of office automatic reply without having to leave the panel, or find time to meet with a colleague on a one-to-one basis. I found those features extremely useful, but in recent days they seem to have disappeared. Instead, when you click the Copilot icon to open the panel on the right-hand side of the screen in outlook.office.com, it is just a version of Copilot Chat. These were fantastic time saving features and I miss them. Will they be brought back into outlook.office.com?
What the hack is a "Microsoft 365 Copilot Bizchat"?
I am taking a training course on learn.microsoft and this word "Microsoft 365 Copilot Bizchat" just came out of nowhere... I went few slides/pages of the training course and even googled it but there is no definition or clarification of it either sigh... What is thatHow do I make an Agent available to my team? Is it possible even if they have no license?
Hi everyone, I have been learning Copilot and practicing for last few days. It's been fun and challenging (mainly due to different ways to create Agents) but have been getting used to it. However, I do have 2 questions I wanted to get a confirmation on. Question 1. I created and published an Agent using Copilot Studio page. How do I make it available in this 'Agents' section on the top right? Is it possible to make it available for myself for testing (production) then make it public for all of our team members? Question 2: Is it possible for team members without Copilot license to those agents too on this Copliot page above? I went to the agent i created/published on Copilot Studio, clicked Channels, and clicked 'Teams and Micorosft 365 Copliot' button. In there, I checked 'Make agent available in M365 Copliot' and saved + republished too but still not seeing it. I clicked 'See agent in Microsoft 365' which opened Copliot page and clicked 'Add' when it prompted me about the agent but nothing happened. I tried re-publishing as well but same result... Thank you very much in advance.
