Bookings Enhancement Request - Show Meeting Details & Custom Information
The reminders, notifications, and calendar appointments would be more useful if any details added to the Booking by the end user would appear. For example, we have custom fields that our customers fill in such as Name, Location, Customer Name, etc. In order to properly prepare for a meeting with an end user it would be helpful to have this information be included in the Outlook or Teams meeting reminder. Please see the example below of the outlook invite. From an efficiency standpoint compared to other software’s this information should be visible in the invite and reminder.Feature Request Bookings
Can Microsoft please integrate the feature in Bookings that you can add 2 (or more) employees to an appointment and Bookings will then also show times when all employees have time in their Outlook calendar? This would be useful for scenarios like job interviews or pitches where multiple internal staff members need to attend. It would also save time in finding common appointments. In other words, Bookings should not only support 1:1 and 1:n, but also make m:1 and m:n possible. The Workaround to create Groups or Mailing Lists and use them for Bookings is not useful at all (because no calendar is taken into account). Is such a feature planned? Discrepancy in Teams Meeting Links Between Staff and Attendees
As the IT director of a private school serving 200 students, we've been utilizing MS Bookings for the past two years to manage our online Parent-Teacher Conferences (PTC). However, this month, without changing any settings in the configuration, we've encountered a significant issue. The Teams meeting link in our staff calendar differs from the link sent out in the confirmation emails received by our customers. Essentially, staff members adding appointments to their Teams calendars are directed to one meeting room, while attendees accessing the link provided in their confirmation emails are directed to a different meeting room. This inconsistency has led to huge confusion and inconvenience for both our staff and the families we serve. Initially, I attributed the problem to a glitch, as parents found themselves waiting indefinitely in the lobby while staff members were unable to see them in the designated meeting room. However, upon closer examination, it became evident that the discrepancy lay in the links themselves. Upon conducting research, it appears that many other business users are encountering the same issue, but I don’t see any reference to an explanation. I can confirm that no changes were made to these meetings on our end; they were not edited or rescheduled, the problem seemed to arise spontaneously and on a large scale. To circumvent the issue, each teacher had to manually send the correct link from their calendars to every family, amounting to approximately 200 families. Additionally, I would like to inquire with Microsoft: has this bug been identified and is there a resolution in progress? Users have been consistently reporting this issue since 2022.
Microsoft Teams Live Events creation through Microsoft Booking
Guys Does anyone know if MS will provide the ability to book Teams Live Events through Booking? We don't have booking enabled on our tenant as yet but are looking to do so in the next few weeks. We are currently using MS Forms and Power Automate to take the Live Event Requests and a small number of admins are creating the Live Events. Due to the 15 limitation on concurrent meetings I was hoping that we could use the staff/resource allocation to the 15 slots and use the Booking tool to automate the Live Event logging by our end users. Due to the LE limitation we don't want to allow users to have direct access from their Teams client to create the Live Events.Changing the organiser of Team meetings created via Booking Calendar to facilitate breakout rooms
We have an issue similar to this post: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/microsoft-bookings/choose-an-organiser-for-meetings-booked-in-bookings/m-p/3262100/thread-id/3321 We have a booking calendar which is set up with services that have group bookings slots with Teams links. The intention is for when these are booked, we can then break the group in to Breakout Rooms on the day. The problem is that in testing, we haven't found a way to actually allow us to use this option. The organiser of these meetings is the booking calendar itself from the links created, this being automated by the app. What I'd like to know is, has anyone who's been in a similar situation managed to find to either switch on Breakout rooms using the app, or allow the organiser to be swapped so we can manually do it? I'm just surprised if this is a general issue, because I would expect this feature to be used by organisations. Any ideas?
Choose an organiser for meetings booked in bookings
I am using Bookings to create events for multiple people that a member of staff then hosts as online meeting in Teams. However, as the staff member is not the meeting Organiser (this is the bookings app I assume as it shows the organiser as the company) The person running the meeting cannot access the necessary features as they are not the organiser! any ideas how if there is a way to change this default behaviour in books?
