table of contents
6 TopicsAdd table of contents / bookmarks / document outline in PDF viewer
I would like to see a feature in PDF reader. Currently there is no such option available in the PDF viewer in Edge Chromium. Such option was available in old Edge browser but the best example would be in Mozilla Firefox. See the picture attached. With long PDF documents, it is useful to browser around with the table of content visible on the left hand side all the time. It is kind of work that I do, I have to go through a lot of PDF documents and most of them are online and so opening directly in the browser is much quicker and easy. Because of this missing functionality in Edge Chromium, I have to use Mozilla Firefox for that particular website. Please consider adding this feature as soon as possible.19KViews9likes7CommentsTable Of Contents Formatting Not Matching Heading Style Formatting
In my word document (Microsoft Office Professional 2019 / .docx) all of the headings are setup using the Heading 1 style which is set for font= Arial, Size= 12, and BOLD is turned on. My table of contents is setup to use the Heading 1 style as shown: {TOC \h \z \t "Heading 1,1,Heading 2,2,Heading 3,3" } The table of contents works to capture all of the correct pages, however, where all of the headings in the document are done in all caps, the entries in the table of contents vary from all caps, all caps for the first word or two, to all lowercase as shown below. I've tried to update the Heading 1 style and then doing the "Update Field / Update Entire Table", but the text in the TOC stays the same.Solved11KViews1like2CommentsPDF problem: highlight, bookmark, and read text
I had been using Edge Browser as my default PDF viewer for the past 3 years. After installing the new version of edge, I've got disappointed by it lacks many pdf features such as: Auto highlight option and color when blocking the text/phrases on pdf Ability to navigate through the bookmark And the ability to read pdf text using audio. The reason why I used Edge because it has higher stability than most of the other pdf readers. It scrolls smoothly and much simpler than most of the browsers. Now I'm using Foxit Reader which has a lot better features but lacks stability when scrolling through pages. I hope those missing features are coming to Edge as soon as possible because I'm tired of searching and using another pdf reader. Hi, I was using TOC filed code with /b to create a TOC under Section 1 that only shows heading3 title and page numbers. But it always has 0.4" left indentation, how can I set zero indentation just for Section1 TOC, but still keep 0.4" left indentation in the main TOC. Also I want the Section1 TOC should still keep zero indentation after update TOC itself. Please see the picture below. Thanks.Solved923Views0likes2Comments
