Why new design of MS Edge shows less items on the Workspaces selection list?
I have some 9 frequently used workspaces. When I want to open one of them only 6 are listed so I often must catch the narrow scrollbar to spot and select the right one. When trying to point to the scrollbar I often miss-click one of them. I'd prefer the list to be longer and the blank space between items smaller. Also it is very handy that icons there are respectively colored but it is just narrow lines. If the color appeared at a bigger surface it would be easier to spot the right one (like e.g. if one of the 3 sheets of the icon was filled). Mabye, making the list size parametrizable (6/12/24) or making the second line with tab count just optional (detailed/compact list layout) would solve this inconvenience. Thanks. [tab-group feature suggestion] Add a 'current tab' notion in tab groups
I like the tab group feature to organize tabs, but clicking a tab group tab has a completely different user experience as clicking a non-grouped tab. By adding a current tab in a tab group, the user experience can be more unified: clicking a tab activates it (brings it to the foreground), clicking a tab group tab activates the current tab in the tab group. This allows for quickly swithing between the 'documentation' for the tab you're working with and the 'project' for the tab you're working with, for instance. The current functionality of 'expanding' the tab group can be moved to the right-click context menu.
Edge is better than Arc?
I recently tried "The ARC browser" (windows build) and I believe that apart from some visual elements and hype, edge is better or at least at par with it. Although the new tab opening style and the space changing way is better there, with a few improvements and more importantly with better publicity, Edge could be and should be the most popular browser out there. Suggestion (SS): 48 Classification: Browser Compatibility PRIORITY IN MY OPINION: 10 on a scale from 1 (low) to 10 (high) Few hours ago Senior Dev reported us the no interest of keeping MacOS Mojave support on Chrome. In 2 years they are removing the 2 best MacOS ever released, before Apple started to downgrade features in MacOS (and obviously adding some other too), especially related to all backup workflows, that now are more complex, but even to permissions and multiple other things. Remember that MacOS 10.14 is not like all other MacOS released by Apple, so removing such MacOS is not like removing Catalina, High Sierra etc. If there are question why MacOS Mojave support is so important, just write directly to us. We already experienced the direct consequence of removing MacOS on Chromium on all browsers and apps few months ago with Sierra. Please keep in mind that this is not just related to Chrome, but even Chromium based browsers, Mac Apps using Electron, and all other Mac Apps too (because if one is starting to remove support, especially big brands, the other will follow much easier*). So be open with your mind and don't write "i'm not using Chrome or Mojave, doesn't matter for me". Avoid auto update of the app too. So don't install new incompatible app automatically, which make no sense at all.
Requests for follow creators
I have two proposals relating to the relatively new follow creators feature in edge. The first is that I would like to see support for following creators on a wider range of platforms (e.g. Twitter, Twitch, Odysee, Instagram, Patreon, etc). I realize this is a bit of a grand proposal and might take longer to implement as different sites have different content types and may display those types differently, but I think this is doable and would improve the overall usability of the feature. The second is a more practical request aimed at ease of access. I don't believe that Following and Recent posts ought to be accessed from a submenu within the collections menu, I don't quite understand why this is where they ended up. Rather, I think that Recent posts should have a spot on the sidebar or some kind of integration with the new tab feed. As a bonus, to build off the first idea it would be great if when following the same creator on multiple platforms all their recent posts are viewable in one spot accessible from the Following menu (this would reduce having a bunch of "duplicates" bloating the list). I add this as a bonus as it necessarily requires the first proposal as a prerequisite and because I'm not certain of its feasibility, since I imagine it would be difficult or impossible to correlate accounts of small, unverified creators (it also appears in my experience that creators of a certain size are not followable on YouTube at the moment). I am curious to hear thoughts on this, if there are any, as I realize this might not be as high-priority to many users as more long-standing requests.paste from clipboard to upload to a site
Hi, I would like to suggest a feature that is a quality-of-life for designers. the ability to copy an image or multiple Photoshop layers and paste them in a sharing site like Instagram or Twitter. The thing with most sharing sites is that require browsing to an existing image file to upload it, but Opera GX can intercept that and reccomened uploading from clipboard or recently downloaded images. This is a huge improvment for those who have to create daily Instagram posts and reduces the clutter in their folders.Issues with address bar suggestion search
Using Edge Version 106.0.1370.34 (Official build) (64-bit) on Windows 11. I started noticing that the address bar suggestion feature is not working properly. This is the functionality that suggests stuff as you type. It just searches in my favorites and history and not in general. I am expecting to type something and then get a lot of suggestions in the address bar to pick from - now it shows only a couple suggestions from history/favorites. I have checked that both these are enabled in settings: * Show me search and site suggestions using my typed character * Show me suggestions from history, favorites and other data on this device using my typed characters When I disable the second one, I do not get any suggestions at all when typing in the address bar. When I enable it again, it shows suggestions from my history and favorites. Toggling the first setting has no effect at all. Tried both Google and Bing as search engine for address bar. No change. When running Google Chrome it works as expected. Any ideas?
