91 Topics[DevOps] dps.sentinel.azure.com no longer responds
Hello, Ive been using Repository connections in sentinel to a central DevOps for almost two years now. Today i got my first automated email on error for a webhook related to my last commit from the central repo to my Sentinel intances. Its a webhook that is automticly created in connections that are made the last year (the once from 2 years ago dont have this webhook automaticly created). The hook is found in devops -> service hooks -> webhooks "run state change" for each connected sentinel However, after todays run (which was successfull, all content deployed) this hook generates alerts. It says it cant reach: (EU in my case) eu.prod.dps.sentinel.azure.com full url: https://eu.prod.dps.sentinel.azure.com/webhooks/ado/workspaces/[REDACTED]/sourceControls/[REDACTED] So, what happened to this domain? why is it no longer responding and when was it going offline? I THINK this is the hook that sets the status under Sentinel -> Repositories in the GUI. this success status in screenshoot is from 2025/02/06, no new success has been registered in the receiving Sentinel instance. For the Sentinel that is 2 year old and dont have a hook in my DevOps that last deployment status says "Unknown" - so im fairly sure thats what the webhook is doing. So a second question would be, how can i set up a new webhook ? (it want ID and password of the "Azure Sentinel Content Deployment App" - i will never know that password....) so i cant manually add ieather (if the URL ever comes back online or if a new one exists?). please let me know.62Views0likes1CommentHow to exclude IPs & accounts from Analytic Rule, with Watchlist?
We are trying to filter out some false positives from a Analytic rule called "Service accounts performing RemotePS". Using automation rules still gives a lot of false mail notifications we don't want so we would like to try using a watchlist with the serviceaccounts and IP combination we want to exclude. Anyone knows where and what syntax we would need to exlude the items on the specific Watchlist? Hi, I am reaching out to community to seek understanding regarding Unified SecOps XDR portal for Multi-tenant Multi-workspace. Our organization already has a Azure lighthouse setup. My question is if M365 lighthouse license also required for the Multi-tenant Multi-workspace in unified SecOps XDR portal?122Views1like2CommentsCCP ProofPoint and Zscaler
Hi, I have ProofPoint and Zscaler Data Connector which appear to show as Deprecated. Logs are still flowing via native Azure Function uninterrupted. Per PP - CCP is suggested approach to replace Zscaler - No replacement method but I assume this will also require CCP Has anyone created CCP for these and successfully deployed these solutions?47Views0likes0CommentsAdd Search Results to alert details in Microsoft Sentinel
Hi everyone, I’m working with Microsoft Sentinel and looking to enhance my alerts by appending search results to the alert details. Specifically, I want to include the events that triggered these alerts in the SecurityAlert table for better context during investigations and for archival purposes. I came across this guide: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/sentinel/customize-alert-details?tabs=azure, which explains how to customize alert details. However, it doesn’t clarify whether it’s possible to add search results directly to the alert details. Is there a way to achieve this? If so, what would be the best approach? I’d really appreciate any insights, best practices, or examples from those who have done something similar. Thanks in advance!159Views0likes4CommentsFetching alerts from Sentinel using logic apps
Hello everyone, I have a requirement to archive alerts from sentinel. To do that I need to do the following: Retrieve the alerts from Sentinel Send the data to an external file share As a solution, I decided to proceed with using logic apps where I will be running a script to automate this process. My questions are the following: -> Which API endpoints in sentinel are relevant to retrieve alerts or to run kql queries to get the needed data. -> I know that I will need some sort of permissions to interact with the API endpoint. What type of service account inside azure should I create and what permissions should I provision to it ? -> Is there any existing examples of logic apps interacting with ms sentinel ? That would be helpful for me as I am new to Azure. Any help is much appreciated !355Views1like4CommentsZscaler Private Access Solution not receiving data
EDIT: Solved by switching to a default Ubuntu VM. No idea what exactly it is about default Ubuntu that makes it work. We have been trying to get the logs from Zscaler Private Access connected to our Sentinel instance, with 0 success so far. We've followed the instructions on the data connector page perfectly, but there simply isn't any data from Zscaler coming into Sentinel and we cannot figure out why - We've installed the Log Analytics (OMS) agent successfully. We can see a Heartbeat coming in and even the syslog of the machine. This should prove the connection between the VM and Sentinel is working - We've placed the VM in the same subnet as the ZPA log receivers, opened the correct ports and firewall rules and we can see traffic on our VM coming from the log receivers via tcpdump. This should prove the connection between Zscaler and the VM working - We can't find any errors in the OMS agent logs. It seems to load the provided zpa.conf file correctly. - We triple checked all the steps, every step is taken correctly But there are no ZPA logs in Sentinel I've searched around and there seem to be multiple people (even in the reviews section of the solutions) running into issues with this, but there are no solutions posted anywhere Did anyone have any luck with getting this solution to work? And can you share how you did it?2.2KViews0likes3CommentsCreate a report that contains Alerts and raw events
Hello, is there a way to autoamtically create a report in sentinel that contains security incidents and alerts as well as the raw events that triggered these alerts and be able to send it somewhere for archival purposes? Any help is much appreciated !241Views0likes7Comments
