Clipbloard crashes after copying from Snip & Sketch in W10 Virtual Desktop
Hi all, Within our organization we’re using Windows 10 1809 Enterprise on a Citrix XenDesktop 7.15 Environment. We’re allowing users to use Snip and Sketch (build-in store-app) but we’re facing some issues when users are pasting from the Windows clipboard. The situation is as described below: After a new snip is taken users copy (no additional action required because the snip is automatically copied to the clipboard) the image to Microsoft Powerpoint (Office 365) or Paint. Nine out of ten paste actions (right click > paste or ctrl + V) fail to copy. An error is given: “something went wrong that might make PowerPoint unstable Please save your presentations and restart PowerPoint” or “the information on the Clipboard can’t be inserted into Paint”. No information has been found in the Windows Event logs. Within Citrix Studio I’ve applied new policy rules to prevent a session to share clipboard information with the host. Also I’ve applied a Windows 10 OS policy with the following rules disabled: “Allow Clipboard History” and Allow Clipboard synchronization across devices”. As a workaround we tell our users to change the option “Auto Copy to clipboard” within Snip & Sketch. So far I can’t reproduce this error while this setting is turned-off. There are many times when we need to take a screenshot and show it to someone but it contains other info, sensitive or personal, so we have to draw on them with colors and it makes it look ugly. please add a blur tool so we can be able to blur those details. also be able to change the thickness of blur tool. When setting a 3-seconds or 10-seconds Timer in Snip & Sketch to take a screenshot, as long as the timer is running, everything is frozen and nothing is clickable. this is obviously a bug/problem because the whole point of that timer is to give user time to reproduce whatever they wanted to do and get it ready for a screenshot, and now this functionality is broken. Snip & Sketch won't launch using PrntScrn when the active window's focus is on a program running with Admin rights so for example when working with registry editor, task manger and things like that, pressing Print Screen button to launch Snip & sketch doesn't work. I have to first click on desktop to be able to launch the app. I'm using windows 10 insider fast ring build 19546 p.s Windows logo key + Shift + S works in all occasions instead. please try to reproduce the problem, upvote and also add your details to this feedback, thanks in advance https://aka.ms/AA71pdkAdd "Add notes" feature to the Snip & Sketch app
Edge classic browser has this feature built-in, the ability to add little sticky notes on the screenshots we take. for people with no touch support and without digital pen, it's almost impossible to write something on the screenshots taken, with mouse it looks awful. if we could add small sticky notes to the screenshots taken via Snip & Sketch app that would be very helpful. because then we could type in those small areas normally.
