Skype For Business SE - persistent Chat
Hello, maybe someone of you run into the same error and is able to help me on this topic: we are using SkypeForBusiness only for internal communication last week we have upgraded SkypeForBusinness 2019 to SE: "SkypeServerUpdateInstaller.exe" run without errors, installed the necessary updates and we were able to upgrade to SE on topology builder and publish the new version. on the next step we tried to activate persistent chat. so same procedure for the upgrade: start the update file "PersistentChatUpateInstaller.exe", nothing else to upgrade the first steps (install new sql instance, configure topology builder, publish the new topology were easy, no issues occured. but when we start the Deployment Wizard to install the necessary components we received the error: "File not found trying to install installing c:\programdata\skype for business server\deployment\cache\7.0.2046.0\setup\mgcserver.msi (feature_chat_server)" my question: how can we install the necessary roles/components to activate persistent chat. the file MgcServer.msi couldn't be found on the server, i can't find it on the SkypeForBusinnes 2019 ISO, too. one version i found, was located on the ISO for SkypeForBusiness 2015 ISO, but this version can't be installed. How to Remove Skype for Business
Skype for Business currently installs as a packaged product with Microsoft 365 Business Professional desktop apps. The installation does not install Teams as a part of the Microsoft 365 Business Professional desktop apps. Additionally, Skype for Business has its own installation which is separate from Microsoft 365 Business Professional desktop apps installation. Windows OS: 11 Pro w/ Windows updates. Issues: Users are unable to remove Skype for Business from their desktop by clicking “Uninstall” located on the Windows Start menu. Teams upgrade requires Skype for Business settings to be set manually via the Teams Admin Center. Using the PowerShell command: uninstall-package 'Microsoft Skype for Business MUI (English) 2016' to remove Skype for Business requires NuGet to be manually installed prior to performing a removal task or does not remove the application at all. The odd thing about this is that the system recognizes that a 2016 edition of Skype for Business exists. Note: Microsoft Word reads with the following version number: Microsoft 365 MSO (Version 2508 Build 16.0.19127.20082) 64-bit Granting and then revoking API permissions via Entra Admin center does not separate Skype for Business from the Microsoft 365 Business Professional installation. Uninstalling Microsoft 365 Business Professional desktop apps only removes the Skype for Business app temporarily until reinstallation occurs.
Skype phone numbers we are using for US, AU are not working at all, we need help please
We have already paid for yearly renting of the Skype phone numbers we are using for US, AU and these are not working because are not getting redirected after the right settings in place, also the voicemails are not working at all, no settings working at all and after paying there is no one to talk to and report the issue, no email of support, no department of support to send ticket, no phone number, absolutely nothing to provide you support as client for something that you paid and is not working!!! I have tried to adjust the settings based on the forms from the Skype app for windows also from the Skype app for web and I tried both the redirect also the voicemail and none of them working to be setup. So disappointed and we already paid for 1 year in advance for both of them. We need help!

Hello to all Related to Skype for Business On-premises 2015 Someone might start calling the mobile app while away from work by connecting over a 3G network, then switch to the corporate Wi-Fi network. In this case, assuming the necessary actions in the configuration, will the call be interrupted or can it continue?
Screensharing mit Ventura 13.2.1 und Skype for Business 16.29.95 doesn´t work
Hello I am not able to share my screen via Skype with Ventura and the latest Skype 16.29.95. Or rather to see it when another participant in the conversation shares his screen. The behavior is identical in both situations. It works for about 10 seconds then just aborts. After that the screen sharing is no longer visible. However, the Skype connection still exists. I can still talk to the other person and the camera video image is still transmitted normally. Only the sharing of the screen does not work anymore. It can not be activated in this call. Only when you re-establish the connection, you can try the timing again. However, it disconnects again after about 10 seconds. I have reinstalled Skype several times in the meantime. This does not solve the problem.Poly Voyager 4220 Series Stuck on mute once muted on Skype Call
Dear Sir/Madam, I have a Poly Voyager 4220 Series and it's always stuck on mute whenever I muted it. The problem is, once muted, I couldn't unmute it anymore. The workaround is, I had to choose a different device, unmute, then choose Poly BT600 so I can speak again. But I don't have this problem with Microsoft Teams. I used to have another headset Poly blackwire 3220 series, that works just fine. I can mute/unmute as I wish. Best regards, Calvin
Can't find installer for Skype for Business 2015
Hi all I need your help Can't find installer for Skype for Business 2015, the client not the server. I need 2015 version not any other version I don't need Skype for Business Server. My company needs for it to be on Microsoft's official website for security reasons Closest thing I could find was 2016 version below but I need 2015 version (yeah I know its old) my company contractually must provide version 2015 to the customer (old contract with old computers) https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=49440
Cannot access video settings, No Video Found
Skype for business does not show video in video settings, however other programs such as zoom, webex and teams shows the video. in teams video shows camera fine, but when you join into any calls the video becomes super dim. This is on a LATITUDE9420 freshly imaged. Steps I have taken: Updated Drivers, Bios Reinstalled programs. Tested on different applications and verfied camera is working.
